Computer Labs for Windows

The current versions of galileo, pythag, schrdgr, huygens, ising, and jupiter are now available. Down-load both files from the Web. (On my browser, I use shift-click.)

unpack.bat (small).

no_run.exe (2 MB compressed).

Or, get them using ftp (ftp://ftp.lassp.cornell.edu/pub/SethnaSSS/win_distrib/).

(If the file no_run.exe is renamed by your browser change it back to no_run before running unpack.)

Do not execute no_run.exe just by clicking (that's why we called it no_run). Instead, run unpack.bat, which will unpack no_run into the current directory, forming a subdirectory sss (for "Solid State Simulations", Silsbee's project for Physics 454).

Problems

If you get "Bad command or filename" when you double-click on unpack.bat, don't panic! Start a DOS command window, change directories to where no_run.exe is stored, and type no_run.exe -d.
