PHYSICS 1204 / MUSIC 1466
The Physics of Musical Sound, Spring 2009

Physics 1204 / Music 1466 is a one-semester course open to all students at Cornell. We explore "how music works" from a physics point of view, taught in a way that is accessible to any undergraduate student. There are no prerequisites for the course, and all physics needed will be taught. In addition to learning about the physics of music, students develop their skills in science writing. There are lively in-class demos, hands-on activities investigating instruments the students play, and cool field trips!
